Edit Inventory Quantities

Learn how to update stock levels in your inventory.

To Update Stock Levels

  1. Locate the product in the Inventory table
  2. Click Actions (⋮) > Edit Details
  3. The Edit Dialog opens showing current information
  4. Update the fields you want to change:
    • Add Stock: Enter quantity to add to current stock
    • Reduce Stock: Enter quantity to subtract (for spoilage, damage, etc.)
    • Set New Quantity: Directly set the exact stock level
  5. The current stock count is displayed below for reference
  6. Adjust the reorder level if needed
  7. Click Update

When to Edit Inventory

  • After receiving orders from headquarters (increase stock)
  • After sales to customers (decrease stock)
  • During physical inventory counts (reconcile differences)
  • When products are damaged or expired (reduce stock)
  • When adjusting reorder thresholds

Best Practices

  • Update inventory regularly to maintain accuracy
  • Use the restock feature when receiving orders
  • Document reasons for stock adjustments in notes
  • Perform regular physical counts to verify system quantities
